How to use
Tritanium offers a wide variety of products for sports, work, travel and physiotherapy.
TRITANIUM compression products are CE-certified and they belong to product category I as defined by the EU regulation on medicinal products (2017/745). Our products deliver an optimized and gradual compression pressure to achieve various positive effects.
When choosing a product size, please refer to measurement tables and consult with our experts if you’re unsure.
- Indications
Each compression product features a precisely optimized and measured compression level that is indicated in units of millimetres of mercury (mmHg). The pressure level is specified according to the product’s purpose.
The amount of compression pressure is mentioned on the packaging. Always choose the correct product for your purpose.
Compression level 1 (10–15 mmHg)
Applications: physiotherapy, work, travel and recovery.
Indications for physiotherapeutic use:
- mild swelling of the limbs
- mild limb pain and fatigue
- mild varicose veins, no swelling
- pregnancy-related varicose veins
- milld osteoarthritis and related inflammation
Compression level 2 (20–30 mmHg)
Applications: physiotherapy, physically demanding work and sports/exercise.
Indications for physiotherapeutic use:
- mild limb pain and fatigue
- moderate and severe varicose veins
- chronic vein hypofunction
- post-traumatic and post-operative swelling
- arthritis
- Contraindications
Do not use Tritanium compression products in case of the following conditions:
- venous blood flow hypofunction
- arterial varicose ulcers
- untreated heart failure
- skin infection
- acute burns
- incompatible material (irritation of skin during use)
- Useful notes
- If you intend to use Tritanium products for physiotherapy, we recommend consulting a doctor of physiotherapist to guarantee the products are suitable for regular treatment, considering the user's age and health
- If you feel discomfort, pain, numbness, or notice changes in skin tone or the appearance of new wounds or swelling during use, stop using the product immediately and contact a healthcare professional

Instructions and advice for using Tritanium compression products
After you have chosen your Tritanium compression product for your intended purpose using the size table, there are no restrictions for when to start using it. Healthy persons may begin using the product according to the provided product-specific instructions. If the product will be used for physiotherapy, we recommend consulting a physician or physiotherapist before use.
Products can be used a maximum of 500 times. Do not use a broken product.
Wearing instructions
Always observe the wearing instructions carefully to keep the product in good condition for as long as possible. When putting the product one, do not pull strongly from the edges, but rather roll the product on. After putting the product on, set it in place and make sure there are no folds.
Useful notes
Jewellery and long fingernails may puncture the material while putting the product on
Do not let compression products touch e.g. lotions or greasy materials
Do not cut possible loose threads or loops, since cutting them might create holes or ladders

- Caring instructions
Tritanium compression products must be regularly washed according to instructions, either by hand or machine. Use a regular, mild washing agent, but no other agents, such as fabric softeners, rinse aids or stain removers. Do not dry the products using a tumble dryer, radiator or direct sunlight. Do not iron.
Caring for the silicone welt
Wash the silicone welt by hand when needed to e.g. remove grease and other dirt.
- Storage / warranty
The recommended use period for Tritanium products is 6–12 months, depending on whether the product is used daily or less frequently. Tritanium recommends replacing a product with a new one after this period expires.
Compression products’ effectiveness can only guaranteed for a maximum of 12 months due to the material’s wear and changes to its properties. This requires appropriate use of the product (putting on and taking off the product according to instructions, washing and storage). Store compression products at room temperature and protect them from direct sunlight, heat and moisture.
